Welcome !

After a few years break, a new start comes into the horizon for the CIOFF^® Youth Switzerland. This section of the national committee is entirely managed by youths from 16 to 27 years old. The nine members come from the folk groups of the region of the Valais (VS) and the of Fribourg (FR): the Zachéos from Sierre (VS), the Comberintze from Martigny-Combe (VS), the Chanson de la Montagne from Nendaz (VS) and the Farandole de Courtepin from Courtepin (FR).

Our main goal is, in collaboration with the CIOFF^® Switzerland, the safeguarding of the intangible heritage and the promotion of traditional culture towards the youth through cultural projects and activities.

At the beginning of October 2016, the committee will take part in the international Congress of the CIOFF^® Youth. We will then get the chance to exchange with members of other youth committees from around the world and get new ideas for the future of our movement. The committee looks forward to this opportunity and is positively excited by this new start!
